Writing Plays In A Small Town

Laura, author of Gasp!, has written a series of essays entitled Writing Plays In A Small Town and I highly encourage you to read them all … she writes about living in New York City as a playwright and her journey down south, it’s a great read.

For the record, I grew up in a microbe-sized town, a town so small that you could stand on one side, spit, and hit the other side of it … I can’t imagine writing plays there, really, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

Laura has a wonderfully written series here highlighting the highs and the lows, the advantages and disadvantages of both, and I can’t recommend it enough.
