Winter . . .

Be here. Snow falls. It’s white outside, even at night.

I’m inside, bundled up under quilts . . . I’m not sick, but I feel the tickle of illness nesting somewhere toward the back of my innards, so I’m doing some preemptive medicine to catch it before it knows it’s there, heh-heh.

I had a flu shot recently, and I think that may be somehow related. It is the actual FLU they’re injected you with, after all.

I feel better than I did yesterday, and plan to be full power on the morrow . . . the strike’s over, after all (I think it is, they’re still counting votes, so I could be premature) and I want to hit the ground running.

I’m already raring to get. Got me herbs and vitamins, so get outa my way!

While curled up the last couple days, I read HEART-SHAPED BOX by Joe Hill. It’s a horror book, well told, in the tradition of many of Stephen King’s classic tales.

Which makes sense, since Joe Hill is King’s son.

The apples didn’t fall far from the tree. Joe’s a pretty damn good writer as well. A nice, creepy and satisfying read.

Check it out.

Sorry to hear your feeling under the weather!! Since I work at a place for mentally and physically challenged adults, there is always something going around. I found that taking Airborn really helps. And if I do pick something up it’s not near as hard on me and I get rid of it faster. Hope your feeling better soon and the little one doesn’t get it.
